Leeds Pre-K Program Opens Up for the 2013-2014 School Year!

A note from our Superintendant...

We are honored to offer voluntary pre-kindergarten to the students in Leeds for 2013-14.  Our legislature and governor have committed to this program, and we anticipate growing pre-K every year for our students.

The Board of Education would like to commend Leeds Elementary assistant principal Lisa Shaddix for successfully writing the grants.  We would like to thank Rep. Dickie Drake for a $7,500 appropriation to purchase supplies for this program as well as the Leeds Educational Foundation for a $5,000 grant to help start this program for our 4 year olds!

A lottery will be held at Leeds Elementary School on July 29 where 18 boys and 18 girls will be selected for our two programs. Parents can pick a packet up beforehand at the LES office.
